A Rural Innovation Platform Rooted in the Wiregrass

Our Story

Who We Are

Economic Pathways Coalition (EPC) is a pre-launch nonprofit focused on expanding pre-postsecondary readiness for K–12 students in Alabama’s rural Wiregrass region. We partner closely with local schools and communities to bring high-quality aviation, drone (UAS), and AI learning experiences directly to students, bridging the gap between secondary education and existing postsecondary pathways.

Our Mission

Partner with rural Wiregrass communities to support K–12 students’ postsecondary readiness by expanding access to aviation, AI, and agricultural technology learning experiences aligned with Alabama’s education and workforce frameworks.

Our Vision

A future where rural regions like Alabama’s Wiregrass are thriving hubs of talent, innovation, and sustainable industry.

Our Role

EPC acts as a pre-entry complementary organization, exposing high school students to skills that better prepare them for postsecondary education ecosystem

We focus on:

  • Expanding rural CTE access

  • Strengthening postsecondary readiness

  • Supporting school improvement metrics

  • Building sustainable talent pipelines

  • Complementing the existing workforce development system

New Name Same Mission.....

In May 2025, Creek Cultural Center began transitioning to a new name: Economic Pathways Coalition.

This name better reflects our mission to build viable career and entrepreneurial pathways to tomorrow’s rural workforce.

Our 501c(3) status and EIN have not changed. We remain the same nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS as Creek Cultural Center (EIN 99-4267737). Our name-change request is currently being processed by the IRS. During this transition, you may see our former name, especially on some government databases and past filings.
