Mark Anthony Lewis is an accomplished aviation professional, educator, and entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience advancing flight training, aviation safety, and workforce development. He is the Founder and Owner of Lewis Aviation Training, based at Blackwell Field in Ozark, Alabama, where he has led the development of high-quality pilot training programs since 2009.

Mr. Lewis holds Airline Transport–level flight experience with over 3,400 flight hours and is a Gold Seal–certificated flight instructor and advanced ground instructor. His instructional record reflects exceptional outcomes, including a perfect first-time pass rate for dozens of initial and add-on private pilot certifications.

Trained by the late Alfred “Chief” Anderson, the legendary flight instructor of the Tuskegee Airman, at Moton Field in Tuskegee, Alabama. Mr. Lewis was Chief Anderson’s final student, carrying forward a historic legacy of excellence, discipline, and access in aviation.

His academic background spans aerospace engineering, professional aeronautics, aviation safety, and management, culminating in a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Aviation.

As Board Chair of Economic Pathways Coalition, Mr. Lewis provides strategic leadership grounded in safety, rigor, and real-world aviation pathways. His expertise strengthens EPC’s mission to expand equitable access to aviation, drone, and STEM career opportunities for rural and underserved students, ensuring programs are both aspirational and operationally sound.
